The tree Festival in Ardara
| Continues SVIMISA's commitment to the environment in its Production Unit. Ardara Sands mine was held last April the tree Festival, initiative aiming at the restoration of a mine slope. For this occasion we invited teachers and pupils of the comprehensive Ardara elementary schools that were involved in the planting of plants and plants typical of the territory with the support of our staff and with useful explanations of Dr. Peter S of the Contained Entity. The day opened with the presentation of our President Luigi Bano who explained the importance of environmental recovery and reiterated the company's commitment in pursuing better coexistence between mining and environmental resources. LEED ® Certification MFTV Sand
The clayey sand feldspatica MF/TV is the first product in accordance with the regulations of DNV Business Assurance Italy GL has been certified for the calculation of the contents of pre-consumer recycled material in ceramic tiles in order of recognition of LEED ®.
LEED ® standard, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is an innovative real estate construction standards, born in USA and based on certain fundamental principles such as the containment of energy use through the use of recycled and recyclable materials and control of polluting sources.
The use of MF/TV in the formulation of ceramic bodies can contribute directly to the achievement of the purposes of valid scores LEED Certification® tiles.
Product certification of MF/TV is SVIMISA further recognition of the attention and protection of the environment and respect for the principles of sustainability that are part of the corporate mission.

The 17 September 2014 It was inaugurated in the presence of local authorities , representatives of the institutions and all the workers of the new SVIMISA treatment plant of feldspathic sands in the mine Falzu to Aradara Mill (SS).
The investment, definitely challenging, made it possible to achieve significant results:
- Elimination of costs of transport from the mine to the plant previously located in Ozieri;
- Use of cemented the old plant grounds for’ drying of bentonite obtained from sand and wash for its marketing with varying degrees of hydration ;
- Automation of process control and optimization of engineering components aimed at saving water and energy resources;
- New technology laboratory at the direct service of the mine and the;
- Increased availability of spaces and Interior roads for the benefit of the speed and efficiency of the logistics of deliveries to customers.
